Why do you refer to low carbon solutions as clean? You are implying that the other solutions are uniquely dirty. Use clean wind and solar vs. that dirty, stinky smelly filthy natural gas!

Wind and solar require quite a bit of mining and processing, which is anything but clean.

Thank you for putting numbers on the absurd costs (and land required) for powering data centers by wind, solar, and batteries [WSB.] Regrettably, your economic analysis won't stop persuasive "snake oil salesmen" from proffering WSB non-solutions to poorly-informed decision-makers. These salesmen are laser-focused on obtaining their commission.

Consistent with your analysis, I was recently interviewed by Dr. Tammy Nemeth. We explored the big picture regarding the future of nuclear power in California and China's relentless pursuit of geopolitical advantage by convincing the industrial West to deploy expensive and unreliable WSB (from China) while The People's Republic of China aggressively pursues energy abundance via lower-cost fossil energy and nuclear power. The interview was posted on the Nemeth Report Substack on 20 August 2026 with the title "Diablo Canyon’s Fate: California’s Nuclear Fight, Grid Reliability, and China’s Energy Strategy | The Nemeth Report Interview with Dr. Gene Nelson."
